I am Dr. A. Balaji working as a Senior Assistant Professor in the School of Computing Science & Engineering of VIT-Bhopal University. I served in different academic and administrative roles in various academic institutions since 2007. I hold a doctorate (Ph.D.) from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. I completed my Master’s (M.E) in Computer Science & Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, and my M.Sc.[Integrated Course] in Information Technology from Periyar University, Salem. My research interests include Databases, data science, and Immersive Technology. I am a Life Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI). I received the “Inspire Faculty Partnership Level (Sliver) Award 2018” from M/S Infosys Limited at a principal Meet 2018 held on 23rd March 2018 at Mahindra City (Infosys Campus), Chennai and “One of South India's youngest, most inspiring teacher award” they are building the country for a new tomorrow" from The Indian Express|| exed 40 under 40 event on 3rd June 2017 at Chennai. Designed a solution for the Remote Asset Service and have been shortlisted for the final round in TECHgium® contest on April 2019 at L&T Technology Services Limited, Bangalore. Designed a solution for Real-time crop Monitoring under Cyient Limited in the Smart India Hackathon(SIH) Hardware edition 2019 and participated in the final round presentation at SREC, Warangal, Telangana. Designed a solution for Water Harvesting in an efficient manner under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development Ganga rejuvenation in the Smart India Hackathon(SIH) 2018 and participated in the final round presentation at PSIT, Kanpur. Submitted a video for the “DigiGuru - National Teaching Video Contest 2017”, conducted by ICTACT. (https://youtu.be/xqPOaqfQt3U). As a social initiative every year four hours of Training sessions “Learn to code” for the students in the Government School, through NSS is delivered. Attended various faculty development programme(FDP) under the MHRD/AICTE/Anna University like Foundation Program for Education(FDP101x), Pedagogy for online Blended teaching-learning Process(FDP201x) and Augmented Reality (AR)/ Virtual Reality (VR), Cloud Computing, Database. I have eight publications in indexed international journals such as SCI and Scopus.
